Privacy policy
Last updated 1 August 2026
This policy explains what we do with personal data you give us through this website. We are the data controller for that information under the UK GDPR.
What we collect
Only what you type into the contact form or quote builder: your name, email address, and optionally your company, phone number and message, along with any services you selected. We also record which page the enquiry came from.
Our server, and Cloudflare in front of it, process your IP address to keep the site available and to rate-limit abuse of the contact form. IP addresses are used for that purpose only and are not stored alongside your enquiry.
Why we are allowed to use it
Our lawful basis is legitimate interests — responding to an enquiry you chose to send us. If we later want to send you marketing, we will ask for consent first, and you can withdraw it at any time.
How long we keep it
Enquiries are kept for two years from your last contact with us, then deleted. If you become a client, project records are kept for six years to meet UK accounting requirements.
Who else sees it
Our email delivery provider, which transmits the notification of your enquiry, and our hosting provider, where the site and its database run. Both act on our instructions. We do not sell your data and we do not share it for anyone else’s marketing.
Analytics and cookies
See our cookie policy. We do not set analytics cookies unless you agree to them.
Your rights
You can ask us for a copy of your data, ask us to correct or delete it, object to how we use it, or ask for it in a portable format. Email hello@swicklabs.com and we will respond within one month.
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
